Mayor Declares April 19 – 21 As Busiest Weekend to Be a Hattiesburger

Hattiesburg, Mississippi – On Thursday, April 18, 2024, Mayor Toby Barker joined several event hosts and organizers to make his annual declaration of the “Busiest Weekend to be a Hattiesburger.”

This year, that weekend falls on April 19, 20 and 21.

“October and April typically provide residents and visitors with several opportunities to enjoy our city through a long list of events; however, one particular weekend in April – without fail – ends up being one of the busiest on the calendar. This year, that weekend is April 19 – 21,” said Barker. “Long gone are the days when someone might say ‘There’s nothing to do in Hattiesburg.’ We are proud of how busy and vibrant our city is, especially during October and April. We hope this list guides anyone who is seeking family fun, sunshine, live music or a little bit of all three.”
