Today’s update includes information about the mall reopening and mask distribution by the Forrest County Emergency Management.
Turtle Creek Mall
On Tuesday, May 26, Turtle Creek Mall will reopen. This entails:
- No food court seating.
- Masks required.
- Customer occupancy limits will be per square footage guidelines, same as other nonessential retail (outlined in Executive Order 2020-5.
- Entertainment venues continue to be closed per Governor Reeves’ Orders 1477/1480.
Mask Distribution
Beginning Friday, May 22, Forrest County Emergency Management will distribute Kn95 masks, free, to the community. Below are the locations for pick-up:

- Forrest County Chancery Building 641 Main Street
- Hattiesburg Fire Station #1 810 Main Street
- Hattiesburg Fire Station #2 805 Katie Ave
- Hattiesburg Fire Station #3 53 Academy Dr
- Hattiesburg Fire Station #4 5033 Hwy 42
- Hattiesburg Fire Station #5 922 East Hardy Street
- Hattiesburg Fire Station #6 3804 Montague Blvd
- Hattiesburg Fire Station #7 46 Parkway Blvd
- Hattiesburg Fire Station #8 104 Lamar Blvd
- Petal Civic Center 712 South Main St, Petal
This will take place Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
On Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, masks can be picked up at the Forrest County EOC from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The address is 4080 US Hwy 11 Hattiesburg next to Sully’s Restaurant.
