Hattiesburg, Mississippi – On the evening of Tuesday, April 7, Mayor Toby Barker and his administrative team learned that Kévin Jordan, the city’s housing coordinator in Urban Development, passed away due to COVID-19.

Jordan, 58, worked for the City of Hattiesburg for 13 years and was beloved by all coworkers.

“Kévin Jordan believed in going the extra mile to help people, and many in our city benefitted from his compassion, work ethic and high standard of excellence. He treated his coworkers as family, and tonight, that family grieves for someone who cared deeply for all of us.”
