Hattiesburg, Mississippi ー On December 31, the City of Hattiesburg is inviting all to join them in Downtown Hattiesburg for the city’s inaugural New Year’s Eve Celebration, which will include an iconic ball drop at the intersection of Front Street and Main Street.

Several local bars and restaurants in and around downtown Hattiesburg will be open and providing live music and New Year’s Eve specials ahead of the ball drop.

At 7:30 p.m., the following streets will close in preparation for the night’s event:

• Main Street, between Pine Street and East Railroad Street
• West Front Street, between Mobile Street and Forrest Street
• The intersection of Front Street and Main Street will be completely closed off to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
