Mardi Gras in Hattiesburg is more than just a celebration; it’s a reflection of the community’s unity and cultural richness. This year, we continue to celebrate years long traditions along with a few new ones. Parades, block parties, pub crawls, dance parties and a Mardi Gras ball offer something to do for everyone of all ages.   • Krewe of St. Catherine 3rd Annual Roll and Stroll Parade and Block Party
    • Friday, February 21 – 6:30 p.m.
    • Downtown
    • Join the Krewe of St. Catherine for their 2nd annual walking parade and block party on Feb.2, 2024 in Downtown Hattiesburg. This year’s theme is “HattiesBurger Bacchanal” honoring the rich culture of live music in downtown Hattiesburg. There will be hand made throws, fun costumes, and clever Sub-Krewe names.

  • Mardi Gras Mambo Pub Crawl
    • Saturday, February 22 – 12:00 p.m.
    • Front and Main Street
    • Celebrate the New Orleans way with a stroll down Front Street with The Epic Funk Brass Band! All Pub Crawl participants will be able to stroll with the brass band New Orleans style from Blu Jazz Cafe down the hill to Hattiesburgers and Blues where the band will continue to perform. All are welcomed to stroll. Block Party happening at the end of Front Street with a King Cake Bar from local and New Orleans bakeries, great mixed drinks, beer, live music and more! This is a ticketed event.

  • Carnaval Brasileiro presented by MS Latinx Art Association
    • Saturday, February 22 – 8:00 p.m.

    • Carnaval Brasileiro is a vibrant celebration of Brazilian culture. This second annual event brings the energy and excitement of Rio de Janeiro’s famous carnival to the heart of Mississippi. Attendees can experience the infectious rhythms of samba music, and indulge in delicious Latin cuisine. With live music, dancing, and a festive atmosphere, Carnaval Brasileiro offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the vibrant spirit of Brazil. This is a ticketed event.

  • Mardi Gras Scholarship Ball hosted by The Krewe of Lumière and The Good Vibe Foundation
    • Friday, February 28 – 7:00 p.m.
    • Lake Terrace Convention Center – 1 Convention Center Plaza
    • The second annual Mardi Gras Ball will be held February 28 at the Lake Terrace Cenvention Center. Hosted by The Good Vibe Foundation and The Krewe of Lumière. Doors Open at 7pm with Special Musical Guests Southern Komfort Brass Band and DJ Kuhjo. More entertainment to be added later. This is a ticketed event.

  • 14th Annual Hattiesburg Caerus Mardi Gras Parade
    • Saturday, March 1 – 2 p.m.
    • Midtown
    • Keith’s Superstore and Mississippi Made & More Present the 14th Annual Caerus Mardi Gras Parade. The parade route will travel along Hardy Street in front of The University of Southern Mississippi, all the way to N 39th Ave.
