Sales and Marketing Professionals – Pine Belt has announced the class of professionals and businesses to be honored in the 2015 Awards Program.
The awards recognize, promote and honor excellence, professionalism and outstanding achievement in sales and marketing and showcase the highest level of talent in the area.
Awards will be presented at a dinner gala Feb. 24 at Lake Terrace Convention Center. A social and silent auction, with a cash bar, will begin at 6 p.m., with the Awards Dinner and Pinnacle Award announcement beginning at 6:30 p.m.
“This event is our opportunity to recognize those who impacted the local sales and marketing field in 2014,” said Kristen Brock, SMP-Pine Belt event chairwoman. “The professionals, businesses and students being recognized are truly the best of the best in the Pine Belt.”
Awards are presented in four categories.
•The Rising Star Award recognizes excellence in sales and marketing for a student currently enrolled in courses of study related to the field.
The Rising Star Award recipients are Lauren Necaise and Emily Radcliffe, both students at the University of Southern Mississippi.
•The Professional Award recognizes individual excellence in sales and marketing of those who are currently working in the field.
Professional Award recipients are: Millie Swan, Forrest General Hospital; Jennifer Upton, Mobile One; Kimberly Gattuso, Southern Property Group; Chinika Hughes, City of Hattiesburg; Barry McArthur, Coldwell Banker, Don Nace, Inc.; Mike Loptinto, FestivalSouth; Jill Norris Deakle, Supertalk MS; Ellen Carty, Coldwell Banker, Don Nace, Inc.; and David Shelman, Regions Bank.
