The City of Hattiesburg and Forrest County Invite you to Host a Night Out Against Crime Event August 1st
The City of Hattiesburg and Forrest County invite neighborhood organizations, churches, businesses, civic and community organizations to host an event in their neighborhood on August 1st from 6 pm to 8 pm. This year’s theme is “Working Together For a Strong & Safe Hattiesburg.” National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. The best way to prevent crime is to know your neighbors, and NNO affords our community this opportunity. Former Vice-President Joe Biden says it best when he stated, “NNO gives us a chance to bring neighborhoods together with the men and women who protect them. The safety of our communities depends on both law enforcement and the citizens they serve…” City and County officials travel to the neighborhood sponsored events to show support for the efforts put forth in the community. To host an event on August 1st or for more information, please call Maxine Coleman at 601.554.1005.
