2nd Annual disABILITY Awareness Day event.
Wednesday, April 19th from 9am to 12 noon at Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center in Hattiesburg
With over 25 organizations represented from around the Pine Belt, our goal is to connect the disabled community with the many resources and caring people who are out there and ready to help.
The city’s Federal and State Programs department in conjunction with Community Development week, is proud to sponsor this event along with Hanger Clinic: Prosthetics & Orthotics, empowering human potential at 1104 South 28th Avenue, ; Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources, serving 9 counties in southern and central Mississippi; and Brookdale Senior Living Solutions, an exceptional assisted and independent living community in Hattiesburg.
There will be refreshments, door prizes, and LOTS of information available. If you are physically or developmentally disabled, the caregiver of someone who is disabled, or a community-minded resident who wants to learn more, you don’t want to miss this event!
