The City of Hattiesburg’s Department of Public Works understands how important it is to maintain our refuse and recycling collections throughout the city. Larry Barnes, Director of Hattiesburg Public Works Department has released the revised collections schedule for the City of Hattiesburg. Mr. Barnes states that it is the department’s goal to collect the refuse, trash, and recyclables in a manner that keeps the pickups as close to the regular scheduled dates as possible and allows the department to do so in a manner that does not overly extend normal scheduled work hours.
Mr. Barnes has taken this opportunity to release the holiday collection plans for the City of Hattiesburg and to remind citizens that the Public Works Department will be working as efficiently and safely as possible to make sure that all of their refuse, trash, and recyclable are collected.
