The City of Hattiesburg mourns the loss of its Metropolitan Planning Organization Division Manager, Christine Brown, who died on May 26, 2015. Christine was the wife of the former Assistant to the Mayor, John Brown. Christine worked with the City since September 03, 1991. She was often among the first in line to donate money or time to various charities or organizations such as the United Way. She was also an avid fan of college basketball especially The University of Southern Mississippi men and women teams. Her quick wit and infectious personality will be missed. Christine’s funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3 at 11 a.m. at the McDowell-Nance Temple Church of God in Christ, located on 120 Old Airport Rd in Hattiesburg. The Viewing Ceremony will begin earlier that morning at 9 a.m. More information is attached.
