Hattiesburg Gears Up for “Busiest Weekend to be a Hattiesburger” with Dozens of Events Across the City

Hattiesburg, Mississippi – On Thursday, April 24, 2025, Mayor Toby Barker joined community partners and event organizers at the Hattiesburg Zoo to make his annual declaration of the “Busiest Weekend to be a Hattiesburger.”

“Every April, it seems like one weekend stands out – when spring weather finally shows up, and our community calendar is absolutely full,” said Barker. “This weekend is a celebration of what makes Hattiesburg special: live music, athletics, family fun, arts and culture. There’s something for everyone, and we hope folks will get out and enjoy all our city has to offer.”
