Position: Administrative Assistant – Human Resources
Department: Administration
Rate of Pay: $35,000 annually
Job Summary:
This position provides administrative assistance that involves a wide range of activities related to the operations of Human Resources. The incumbent will serve as the first point of contact for individuals in need of HR services. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager. The incumbent should be able to work with initiative and use independent judgment. Work involves a considerable amount of interaction with employees and employment candidates.
Essential Job Functions:
• Answers and directs departmental phone calls.
• Greets and provides services to individuals visiting the HR offices.
• Answers various inquiries related to departmental services and functions.
• Operates standard office equipment including multi-line phone system.
• Generates and distributes documents for completion.
• Tracks document submissions and accuracy.
• Assists with preparation of human resource reports and/or correspondence.
• Receives and distributes office mail.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to type 30 – 40 words a minute.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education/Experience (Required):
High School Diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education/Experience/KSAs (Preferred):
Bachelor’s Degree from a nationally accredited college or university.
Administrative/Office Assistant training.
Four (4) years of administrative assistant experience.
Two (2) years of experience in an HR setting.
Working knowledge of Munis and Kronos/UKG software.
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
