The Hattiesburg Planning Commission has was created by the Mayor and City Council as an advisory committee to address zoning matters and is vested with the rights and responsibilities as provided in Mississippi Code Annotated Section 17-1-17 (1972), and established in the City of Hattiesburg Ordinance No. 1490.
The Hattiesburg Planning Commission holds meetings every first Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center to discuss issues related to zoning changes, use permits, variances, etc.
