The Hattiesburg community is invited to attend the City of Hattiesburg Fire Department’s (HFD) annual awards and promotional ceremony on Thursday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Police and Fire Training Academy. The Academy is situated on 53 Academy Drive # 1. HFD is promoting one (1) Lieutenant and (2) Engineers. Charles Ben Thompson will be promoted to Lieutenant. Individuals being promoted to Engineers are: Elliott Edwards and Jonathan Sisemore. Firefighter of the Year will be awarded to William “Will” Lewis, and a special presentation of bravery will be awarded to Daniel K. Robinson and Jeff Morgan.
