GOVERNMENT: BOARDS & COMMISSIONS
Boards and commissions are important in that they enable citizens to participate in Hattiesburg’s city government processes. Their activities help shape and influence public policy, and provide an opportunity for civic engagement at an involved level.
There are more than 20 boards and commissions for the City of Hattiesburg, with members appointed by the Mayor. They include:
